Fantastic $30 Cartography Software Bundle Is a Virtual Tabletop GM's Dream

Following a brief run back in April, the Map Making Mega Bundle is back for a limited time available until Dec. 2. Hailed as an extensive collection of mapping tools developed by a specialized software company over the years, the complete package is valued at more than thirteen hundred dollars. Primary Feature

The standout feature is definitely a lifetime license to the CC3+ software, a professional-grade cartography program that can be used to generate various types including epic fantasy landscapes, smaller regional maps, urban layouts, and most notably, dungeon and tabletop battle maps.

Entry Level

The cheapest bundle tier, starting at just one dollar, includes only four of the 39 total items: Symbol Set 1: Fantasy Overland, Monster Token Pack 1, Source Maps: Castles!, and Source Maps: Cities!. This one's only for cartographers who already have CC3+, yet it provides fresh fantasy design elements for landscape mapping, more than 750 monster tokens for use in virtual tabletops, over twenty-five top-down castle layouts including hundreds of map markers, eight complete urban centers, and more than 70 urban floorplans.

Mid-Range Option

The eight-product collection starting at fifteen dollars offers enhanced value through inclusion of permanent CC3+ access, the first Annual volume, Tome of Ultimate Mapping, and Symbol Set 6: Isometric Cities. The Annual represents the annual collection from the company's ongoing subscription program featuring a variety CC3+ add-ons including map packs and various other tools. The Isometric Cities enables present urban areas in 3D perspective with isometric views from all sides. Meanwhile, the Mapping Tome comprises 760 pages suitable for novices and experts, packed with guidance and instructions covering cartography techniques.

Every volume from the Annual series come with this bundle, plus numerous other resource and asset packs enabling creators to design entire planets or galaxies, or just go all-in on classic fantasy realm creation: battle maps, dungeons, cities, and land masses in multiple viewpoints. You can even design character portraits. At thirty versus fifteen dollars, the full bundle offers tremendous value, particularly for mappers who have only the annual CC3+ license and want to upgrade to lifetime. However, it's clearly an even better deal for map-making newbies since it includes introductory guides to help you get started. The sole limitation though the purchase is available across platforms, the applications only function on Windows.

Charitable Component

As with other Humble Bundles, part of every purchase supports charitable organizations. For this one, the beneficiary is Save the Children, established in 1919 by Eglantyne Jebb dedicated to enhancing children's welfare globally through education, health care, and emergency relief.
