AC Shadows Reveals Bizarre Attack on Titan Event for Thanksgiving
In a unexpected partnership that challenges usual predictions, Ubisoft has revealed an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Mission Disclosed
According to the formal statement, "A strange meeting pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where rumors of prohibited rituals and terrifying changes echo through the shadows." The storyline introduces a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a secret sect.
The questline centers on "bizarre experiments and a monstrous adversary" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Familiar Settings and Transformations
The trailer features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer ends with a dramatic scene showing a character, probably the hostage, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Items and Bonus Material
Players who successfully complete the adventure will acquire an special katana in addition to multiple items concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:
