An additional two individuals are now in custody related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by police.

A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

These detentions follow a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was among the injured during the incident. Five people went to hospital for treatment and have since been released.

Police detained a 31-year-old man on suspicion of theft and assault near the scene. He was subsequently released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were called at about 08:10 GMT following reports of several people hurt by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.

The assault - which police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
